Emotionally focused therapy (EFT)
When working with couples I use the EFT theoretical framework. This theory was developed by Sue Johnson and Lee Greenberg. Sue Johnson is author of the well-known book: “Hold me tight”(2014).
This therapy uses an experiential approach and focusses on our attachment needs and our emotions.
During the sessions with my clients we explore problematic patterns of interactions (i.e. conflicts or avoidance) and the partners deeper underlying emotional needs in order to find new ways of connecting with each other.
